It was a great pleasure to deliver a keynote lecture at the workshop on biophysics based modeling and data assimilation in medical imaging hosted by the Weierstrass Institute (WIAS) Berlin.

The three days of intense discussions and interdisciplinary talks on multiscale modeling, scientific computing, elastography, cardiovascular imaging, computational biomechanics, machine learning, and inverse problems were very inspiring. It was great to see the potential of mathematics, modeling, simulation, and optimization to strengthen the potential of medical imaging for clinical diagnostic. Many thanks to the organizers Alfonso Caiazzo, Karsten Tabelow, Daniel Peterseim, and Ingolf Sack!
